ElizabethWEIROn the 2nd January 2025, peacefully at Dumfries Infirmary, Elizabeth (Liz) McDonald Weir, beloved daughter of the late John and Nan Weir, "cousin" and dear longtime companion at New Abbey of Edith McDonald, missed by family members Eileen and Alastair, cherished friend to very many.
Former secretary in the Celtic Department at Aberdeen University. Subsequently a generous giver of her time and skills to New Abbey Church and Dumfries Museum.
Funeral service at New Abbey Parish Church on Monday 10th February at 12:30pm. Cremation thereafter at Roucan Loch Crematorium. All friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to New Abbey Village Hall and the Community Council Hanging Basket Fund can be given at the church service in memory of Elizabeth.
